Mrs. Betty Bethke

Jesus' Little Lambs Teacher

Mrs. Bethke is a Michigander! She was born in Midland and grew up in Freeland. When she married her husband, John, she moved to Hemlock. Mrs. Bethke has three children and also a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and seven grandchildren. She keeps busy with Jesus' Little Lambs and a licensed day care in her home. In her spare time, she likes to scrapbook, make cards, and sing.


 

Mrs. Jody Scharrer

Mrs. Jody Scharrer was born in Grand Junction, Colorado and was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran church.  She has two older brothers and a younger sister.  When she was 5, her family moved to Watertown, Wisconsin.  There she attended St. Mark’s Lutheran grade school and Northwestern Prep for high school.  She spent her college years at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. After graduation, she was assigned to teach at Grace Lutheran Church in Yakima, Washington.  She taught 1st and 2nd grade, and met her future husband there.  In 2002, she married Ben Scharrer and moved to Hemlock, Michigan.  She taught K-4 for two years here at St. John’s.  Ben and Jody have three children, Sam, Katie, and Molly.  They enjoy traveling, camping, boating and catching up with extended family as much as possible. 
 

 

 


 

Mr. Matt Stob

Mr. Matt Stob grew up in Star Prairie, Wisconsin, a small town on the Minnesota-Wisconsin border. After graduating from high school in 2013, he attended Martin Luther College. He earned his degree in Education with an emphasis in Elementary Education and Secondary Social Studies in May 2018. Matt met his wife Bridget Hennen in high school. They got married on July 1, 2018. Matt enjoys hunting, fishing, and everything that has to do with Minnesota sports.
