Why a Lutheran Elementary School?

In the book of Deuteronomy God tells us, "These commandments that I give you are to be on your hearts. impress them on your children" (Deut. 6:6-7).

Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Solomon admonishes parents with the words, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

It is evident that Christian parents, as caretakers of the children whom God has given to them, have a definite obligation both to God and to those children. That obligation is for parents to do all that lies within their power to see to it that God's Word is taught to their children. With this obligation comes the privilege of sharing the message of Christ crucified for our salvation.

The Christian congregation also shares this obligation and honor, as it seeks to help the younger members of the body of Christ grow and mature in faith. It has established and continues to maintain a Lutheran Elementary School to carry our this responsibility. This school is set up to aid parents in any way possible as they raise their God-given children in the true faith.
